Bobbys Corner-Open Market-April.12.2010

bob-slade-forex-2-150x200Good Morning:

I am back from my journey from the Windy City-where it was wet and cold (I even saw some snow last Thursday).

The Euro rose as Greece was  given  a stay of execution by the EU and IMF when they agreed to a $45 billion Euro rescue package to help Greece avoid default.  The bailout package will be in form of loans from the EU (30 bil euros) and another 15 billion euros from the IMF.
Only time will tell if the gains that the euro will betemporary or not-as the EU’s economic recovery is weak, and slower than that of the US and other worldwide regions-like Australia and Asia.

Both Asian and European equity markets are mixed-and US Futures are slightly lower at this time.

Oil:$84.45                                                 Gold:$1163.10

No major economic data due out today.

HAVE A GREAT DAY & GOOD LUCK

Canada Housing Starts are weaker than expected

The expectation was for a rise to 205K from 196.7K. The value came in at 197.3k.

The USDCAD has moved above the 200 hour moving average at the  1.0063 level. If  the price can remain above this level, the bias will remain positive, with resistance at the 1.0100 level
